1. Introduction

Welcome to Own Your Time ("Own Your Time", "we", "our", or "us"). These Terms of Use govern your access to and use of our website, web application, and related services (collectively, the "Service").

By creating an account, purchasing a subscription, or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, you must not use the Service.

2. About the Service

Own Your Time is a subscription-based personal finance tracking platform that helps individuals manually organize and understand their financial progress.

The Service may allow users to record and review assets, portfolios, income, expenses, net worth, financial freedom metrics, and personal financial decisions.

Own Your Time does not hold customer funds, execute trades, manage investments, connect to bank accounts unless expressly stated, or provide regulated investment services.

3. Eligibility

You must be legally capable of entering into a binding agreement under the laws that apply to you.

By using the Service, you confirm that the information you provide is accurate, current, and truthful.

4. User Accounts

Some features require an account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account.

• Keep your account information accurate and up to date.
• Do not share your password or allow unauthorized access.
• Notify us promptly if you suspect unauthorized use of your account.
• Do not create accounts using false or misleading information.

5. Subscriptions and Billing

Own Your Time may be offered through monthly or annual recurring subscriptions. The available plans, prices, billing periods, and included features are shown on the Pricing page or during checkout.

Unless cancelled before the renewal date, your subscription will automatically renew for the same billing period using the payment method associated with your purchase.

We may change subscription prices or plan features. Where required, we will provide reasonable notice before a material change applies to your next renewal.

Payments may be processed by Paddle or another authorized payment provider acting as the Merchant of Record. The payment provider may calculate and collect applicable taxes, issue receipts or invoices, and handle payment-related support.

6. Cancellation and Refunds

You may cancel your subscription at any time through the subscription management portal, your account settings when available, or by contacting support.

Cancellation prevents future renewals. Unless applicable law requires otherwise, cancelling does not automatically refund amounts already paid, and your paid access will normally continue until the end of the current billing period.

Refund requests may be submitted to support@ownyourtime.app. Requests are reviewed individually and may be approved for duplicate charges, billing errors, substantial technical problems that prevent reasonable use of the Service, or where applicable consumer law requires a refund.

Refunds and cancellations may also be subject to the terms and procedures of the payment provider that processed the transaction.

7. Free Trials and Promotions

We may offer free trials, discounts, or promotional plans. Eligibility, duration, renewal price, and any additional conditions will be displayed when the offer is made.

Unless cancelled before the trial or promotional period ends, a subscription may automatically convert to a paid recurring subscription as disclosed during signup.

8. Acceptable Use

You agree not to misuse the Service. In particular, you must not:

• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service, accounts, servers, or networks.
• Interfere with the security, operation, or availability of the Service.
• Upload malicious code, malware, or content designed to damage systems or data.
• Use automated tools to scrape, overload, probe, or abuse the Service.
• Reverse engineer, copy, resell, sublicense, or commercially exploit the Service except where expressly permitted.
• Use the Service for fraud, unlawful activity, or infringement of another person's rights.
• Share a personal subscription with others unless the selected plan expressly allows it.

9. Financial Disclaimer

Own Your Time is an organizational and educational software tool. It does not provide financial, investment, legal, accounting, or tax advice.

Calculations, projections, freedom metrics, charts, and other information shown in the Service are estimates based on the data you provide and the assumptions used by the Service.

You remain solely responsible for your financial decisions. Consider consulting a qualified professional before making significant financial, investment, legal, or tax decisions.

10. User Data and Data Accuracy

You retain responsibility for the financial and personal information you enter into the Service.

The Service relies on user-provided information and third-party data where applicable. We do not guarantee that calculations or outputs will be accurate when information is missing, outdated, delayed, or incorrect.

You should maintain independent copies of important records and verify material information before relying on it.

11. Intellectual Property

The Service and its software, source code, design, branding, logos, illustrations, text, interface elements, and original content are owned by Own Your Time or its licensors and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, and revocable right to use the Service for its intended purpose.

No part of the Service may be copied, modified, distributed, sold, licensed, or reproduced without prior written permission, except where applicable law expressly permits it.

12. Third-Party Services

The Service may rely on or link to third-party services, including payment processors, authentication providers, hosting services, market-data providers, and analytics tools.

We are not responsible for the independent terms, privacy practices, availability, or performance of third-party services. Your use of those services may be governed by separate terms.

13. Service Availability and Changes

We work to keep the Service available and secure, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted, error-free, or permanent availability.

The Service may be temporarily unavailable due to maintenance, updates, infrastructure failures, security events, or circumstances beyond our reasonable control.

We may add, modify, suspend, or discontinue features when reasonably necessary. We will try to provide notice where a change materially affects paid users.

14. Suspension and Termination

We may restrict, suspend, or terminate access if you materially violate these Terms, misuse the Service, engage in fraud, create security risks, fail to pay applicable fees, or where suspension is required by law.

You may stop using the Service and cancel your subscription at any time.

Sections that by their nature should survive termination, including intellectual property, disclaimers, limitations of liability, and dispute-related provisions, will continue to apply.

15. Disclaimer of Warranties

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis.

We do not warrant that the Service will always be available, secure, error-free, or suitable for every financial purpose, or that every calculation or third-party data point will be complete or current.

Nothing in these Terms excludes warranties or consumer rights that cannot legally be excluded.

16. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Own Your Time will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, opportunities, goodwill, business, or data arising from your use of or inability to use the Service.

Own Your Time is not responsible for investment losses or other financial outcomes resulting from decisions made using information displayed in the Service.

Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot legally be limited, including any mandatory consumer rights that apply to you.

17. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will update the "Last updated" date and, where appropriate, notify users of material changes through the Service or by email.

Your continued use of the Service after revised Terms become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms, except where applicable law requires another form of consent.

18. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer protection rights that apply in the country where you reside.

Any dispute will be handled by the competent courts or authorities in accordance with applicable law.
